Six Paramitas

As defined and classified by Gampopa in The Jewel Ornament of Liberation

Generosity (dana, jinpa): giving fully without attachment. 
1. giving wealth, 
2. giving fearlessness, 
3. giving Dharma. 

Ethical discipline (shila, tsultrim): taking precepts from others; pure motivation; renewing when it declines; mindfulness and respect. 
1. restraint; 
2. accumulating virtue; 
3. benefitting sentient beings. 

Patience (shanti, zopa): a feeling of ease accompanied by compassion. 
1. patience toward someone harmful; 
2. patience of accepting suffering; 
3. patience in understanding the Dharma. 

Diligence (virya, tsondru): joy in virtue. 
1. armor-like diligence until the end of samsara; 
2. applied diligence to avoid kleshas, accomplish virtue, and benefit beings; 
3. insatiable diligence until awakening. 

Meditation (dhyana, samten): calmly abiding one-pointedly on virtue. 
1. abiding bliss free of discursive thoughts; 
2. accumulating good qualities; 
3. benefitting sentient beings. 

Wisdom (prajna, sherab): full discrimination of all phenomena. 
1. mundane wisdom: medicine, reasoning, language, arts; 
2. lesser supramundane wisdom: hearing, reflection, and meditation that realizes the three marks: impermanence, selflessness, suffering; 
3. greater supramundane wisdom: hearing, reflection, and meditation that realizes the emptiness of all phenomena.
